LaShonda Bradberry, a member of the NYSUT/Cheektowaga Central Teachers Association, serves as a NYSUT Delegate and PAC Coordinator and has long been passionate about political education and leadership. Inspired by early experiences with civil rights history and her mother’s involvement in the UAW, she developed a strong belief in the power of education, activism, and organized labor. As a high school teacher in Cheektowaga, she teaches African American and Cultural Studies, helping students critically examine history and society. Through her union leadership and the Union Leadership Institute, she works to expand opportunities for educators of color and encourages greater participation in advocacy and decision-making.
